History

2010

• Forms an unlikely friendship with Viv Hope and tells her she needs to update her look
• Is devastated when son Jackson is involved in a horrific car accident and is paralysed from the neck down for life

2011

• Hazel is further rocked to learn that Jackson isn't coping with his disability and wants to end his own life. She eventually agrees to help him
• At the crucial moment, Hazel is unable to go through with it and Aaron is the one to help Jackson die
• Hazel calls the police as Jackson requested but she is arrested for murder
• She and Aaron are released on bail pending further investigation
• Hazel has all charges against her dropped while Aaron is charged with murder and has to stand trial
• Hazel finds Amy's baby in the phone box and saves its life

2012

• After months of trying to move on with her life, Hazel decides to leave the village for a fresh start. She asks Aaron to go with her but he refuses and they bid each other an emotional farewell.
