The old Holly was considerate and caring, but the drug-dependent Holly is more of an unknown… That makes her unpredictable.

2009
- Holly arrives with the Bartons
- Persuades Lisa Dingle to nude model for her art class
- Seductively tries to get Aaron to drop the assault charges against John – he calls her bluff and says he will if she sleeps with him. She refuses
- Holly and Maisie ride Natasha’s horse whilst they are drunk and lose it
- Goes on a date with Aaron who unbeknownst to her is hiding his homosexuality
2010
- Is told by Adam that Aaron tried to kiss him, but she doesn’t believe him
- Draws a risqué picture of Viv and gets a free lunch
- Tiring of their relationship, she breaks up with Aaron
- Holly doesn’t think it’s a big deal when John and Moira confront her about taking drugs with Maisie
- She admits to being thrown out of college for dealing drugs
- The Barton family is rocked when drug-addicted Holly goes missing
- Holly sinks to terrible lows to get money for drugs, even sleeping with strangers
- Holly comes home and only agrees to get clean when John threatens to take heroin himself so that he can understand what it feels like
2011
- When the Bartons are strapped for cash and are forced to sell one of their cars, Holly asks Cain to get hold of a cheap 4x4. Despite her dislike of Cain, Moira is forced to go along with this and promises Cain she will pay the for the car in instalments
- Holly is horrified when she finds out that Moira has been sleeping with Cain and never misses a chance to show her resentment
2012
- Holly is devastated when John is killed in a car accident just after he reunites with Moira. She holds Moira responsible
- Unable to cope after the death of her father, Hannah turns to drugs
- Begins seeing a drugs councillor
