Monday 30th May saw the launch of Emmerdale's brand new title sequence - watch it here.
The new opening has had a major overhaul - gone are the sweeping ariel scenes of the Dales, replaced with a new glossy sequence, which hints at hidden depths, whilst maintaining the unique escapism of its stunning rural backdrop.
Even the iconic theme music has been given a revamp with a new orchestral recording.
Steve November, executive producer said:
"Our aim is to refresh perceptions of the programme. Emmerdale has a unique voice and we wanted to reinforce that by giving it a fresher, more contemporary feel, to reflect the richness and diversity of its characters and storylines."
