No-nonsense duo Ali Spencer and Ruby Haswell arrive in the village, played by acclaimed actresses Kelli Hollis (Shameless) and Alicya Eyo (Bad Girls).
Ali (Rachel's sister) has broken-up with her husband and left her flat on the Hotten estate behind, hoping for a new start in the village with her two children Sean (Luke Roskell) and Amelia (Daisy Campbell).
But life won’t be that easy, because Ali has left her husband for another woman, called Ruby (Alicya Eyo) - lets just say that tearaway Sean might have a thing or two to say about that...
Stuart Blackburn, series producer says: "Ali and Ruby are down to earth, gritty, funny and likeable and after leaving her husband of 15 years, Ali has a lot riding on making her new life in Emmerdale work."
