Congratulations to Danny Miller for scooping the award for Best Actor at the British Soap Awards 2012 where Emmerdale also won Best Storyline for Jackson's decision and Spectacular Scene Of The Year for John and Moira's car crash.
It's been an epic year as Danny's character, Aaron has handled some challenging stoylines with sensitivity and conviction.
It was just under a year ago that Aaron made the heart wrenching decision to aid Jackson in committing assisted suicide after being left paraplegic in a car crash.
Just a few month later Aaron was distraught when Cain was attacked and put his friendship with Adam in jeopardy by threatening Pa Barton who was the number one suspect.
It was this friendship that lead to Aaron making the life altering decision to take the blame for Adam's arson attempt on the garage and flee to France for a new life with parter Ed.
Danny's had us laughing and crying over the last 12 months and truly deserves this accolade.
