Griff is an instantly recognisable television personality and one of Britain’s comedy greats, rising to fame on ground-breaking shows such as Alas Smith and Jones and Not The Nine O’Clock News.More recently he starred in Three Men In A Boat and fronted the Restoration and Mountain series. This autumn he will be presenting new ITV1 series, Greatest Cities of the World.
“I was honoured to be asked to take up the golden clip-board from the master of catastrophe outtakes, Dennis Norden,” Griff says. “And now I hear he wants to keep it! Well, we will battle on. This is, after all, the tradition of ‘It’ll Be Alright On The Night’ – ‘battle on when disasters overwhelm.’
