GMTV Emergency Services - Torbay RNLI who rescued eight people from a stricken timber ship caught up in a gale force nine storm.

Prince's Trust Young Achievers Award - Ricky McCalla,26, dancer and choreographer with a promising career had it cut short when he was caught up in a bungled car-jacking. He became a mentor to youngsters to stop them turning to a life of crime.

Pepe Rahman,39, ITV Teacher of the Year.

Nina Barough raised £44 million to help women with breast cancer.

Child of Courage - Liam Fairhurst,13, lost a friend to cancer while he had it himself and was inspired to raise £150,000 to help other children.

Child of Courage - Six-year-old Jaden Ashton who saved his mum's life by calling an ambulance as she fell into a diabetic coma.

Outstanding bravery - Carl Duval,16, saved a woman who had fallen off a railway platform. Carl went onto the track to rescue her - as a train travelling at 100mph came hurtling towards them.
