01The game in pictures
It's no wonder England team captain Jonathan Wilkes is beaming alongside teammate Teddy Sheringham - the Soccer Aid co-creator and 2006 Man of the Match did absent pal Robbie Williams proud by scoring the winning goal yet again.
England went 4-3 up in the final minutes, and despite early claims that Shearer had scored, we all saw the footie legend congratulate his celeb captain after admitting he hadn't in fact touched his ball.

02Ramsay's in hot water
After struggling through the first 11 minutes of the match with a painful left knee, Rest of the World captain Gordon Ramsay admitted defeat and left the pitch.
“My hamstring’s gone," he sighed. "I could feel it and I can’t believe it. We’re 1-0 down as well. I think someone up there is trying to tell me not to play football.”
This was the second time the sharp-tongued chef's Soccer Aid dream was shattered by injury, after being subbed off early on in the 2006 game.

05Back of the net
'Safe-Hands' Seaman was no match for yet another pop from Paolo Di Canio.
Still, it's not as bad as letting Sex and the City movie actor Gilles Marini score past you!

07Keeping it in the family
Pitch babe Louise Redknapp kept us in the thick of the action with updates from father-in-law Harry. Any slights on his son (her husband, Jamie) and his game obviously didn't wash however.
Here she chats to team captain Jonathan Wilkes, as he wields the cup at the end of the game.

11Goooaaaaaall!
A muddy but pleased Wilkes leads the celebration after England's victory. As well as giving the footballing celebs a chance to shine, the other aim of Soccer Aid was to raise money for UNICEF. And there's still time to donate.
