James Strawbridge
Part of The Hungry Sailors duo, James Strawbridge is a Cornwall-based cook and grower, and son of former Celebrity Masterchef finalist, Dick.
James is a chef who loves to share his and his family's passion for living a sustainable lifestyle. After gaining a 1st class degree from York University in Environmental History he appeared in BBC2's It's Not Easy Being Green, which had three series, and co-presented UKTV History's The Reinventors with his father, Dick Strawbridge. In 2007, he also worked on filming the charity education programme WasteBusters, which aimed to encourage children to think more about the environmental issues surrounding waste. His latest show is ITV1's The Hungry Sailors, which sees him and his father sampling food around the coasts of the UK. As well as his TV appearances, James has worked as a sustainability manager in Fiji and as an eco-consultant for The Lost Gardens of Heligan. He also runs a unique catering company, James Cooks.
