Method: How to make BBQ sticky beef with beans
Cook the joint of beef over a hot BBQ with a lid or alternatively, place on a tray and roast in a preheated oven at 180C/Gas 4 for an hour.
Next, make the BBQ sauce. Mix the chilli, ginger and garlic together. Add the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey and rice wine vinegar. Stir well. Finally, stir in the brown sugar and sesame seeds.
Cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring until it thickens and makes a sticky sauce.
Remove the beef from the oven and brush generously with the marinade. Return to the oven for another hour and continue to baste the beef with the marinade every 10-15 minutes throughout the remaining cooking time.
For the BBQ beans:
Place the flageolet and haricot beans into a large pan. Add the tomato purée, orange juice, Worcestershire sauce and honey. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes.
