These sweet and healthy little bites, made with greens powder, walnuts and dates will give you a natural energy kick,
Ingredients
- 250 g8¾ oz raw walnuts
- 250 g8¾ oz pitted dates
- 3 tsp mixed greens powder (eg: spirulina, wheat grass, chlorella)
- Dessicated coconut, to coat
Method: How to make Energy bombs
Add the dates, walnuts, and greens powder to a food processor, and process on the highest setting possible, until a thick sticky paste has formed.
Sprinkle dessicated coconut onto a plate. The processing will have squeezed all the oil from the walnuts, so the paste will take on an oily texture for a while. Whilst it is still at this texture, break off thumb sized pieces, and roll into balls. Then roll through the dessicated coconut, and place onto another plate.
Put the energy bombs in the fridge for a couple of hours, to firm up the oils and create a delicious chewy texture.
