ITV French Open pundit John Inverdale says it will take something extraordinary for somebody other than Rafael Nadal to lift the men's trophy at Roland Garros this year.
Speaking exclusively to ITV.com, Inverdale said any tips for the 2012 French Open title had to start with the six-time and reigning champion from Spain.
"You'd probably be brave and foolhardy, even given Djokovic's year, to tip anyone other than Nadal to win the men's," Inverdale said.
"He's got six like Borg, he's going for a record seven, I watched him playing a couple of games last week on the telly and I thought: 'My God, if it's possible he's almost playing better than ever.'"
And Inverdale admitted that the only hope for the rest of the male contenders might be to pray for a miracle.
"If I was everybody else in the draw I'd be hoping that he ate a baguette that had something wrong with it a week before the championship!" Inverdale joked.
