Why can’t I buy credits any more?
Since 31 August 2008, the 'Pay to Play' version of the Online Broadband Games is no longer available and from 07 August 2008, Players could no longer purchase game credits for the 'Pay to Play' games. Until the end of 31 August, Players who have game credits in their account still had the chance to play the Pay to Play version, feature on the leaderboard and win the Weekly Prize. If a Player still has credits left on their account at the end of the day on Sunday 31 August, the Promoter will refund that Player's money by sending them a cheque within 28 days. The 'Play for Free' version of the Online Broadband Games will still be available after 31 August. Can I skip the ads?
As the ads help to keep the game free, you can’t skip them at the moment.
Why can’t I skip all the pre-recorded sections?
We want you to get the full gameplay experience, as if you were right there in the studio as a contestant. You can’t skip through real life, and why would you want to?
Why is there a limited time to give my answer?
Just like the TV shows, there’s a time limit to keep it interesting. Your score is also based on how quickly you give correct answers.
Why can’t I manually type in my answer on all the games?
Some of the games have many possible answers so they give you a helping hand by offering you multiple choices.
Who comes up with the questions and answers?
The words you provide in Countdown are checked by an open source dictionary. The question surveys and answers in Family Fortunes and the questions and answers in Blockbusters come from the licence holders of the original gameshows and Catchphrase’s puzzles come from the original gameshow itself.
Where do the prices come from in The Price is Right?
Independent researchers were commissioned to check out prices of the items online. The prices you see in the game are a balance between the most and least expensive prices online.
Where can I find out how to play?
Simply click on ‘instructions’ at the bottom right of each game window at any point during the game for handy hints to playing the game.
How are points awarded?
Points are awarded in different ways depending on the game, but are usually awarded for speed as well as accuracy (you don’t get points for incorrect answers!). For example, in Blockbusters, using fewer moves to navigate your way across the board gives you more points.
Why haven’t you updated the leaderboard?
We don’t usually update the leaderboard until the contestant eligible to receive the prize has got back in touch and their details have been verified.
How long does each game take to complete?
Each game takes on average 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
Why won’t the game load?
You should check your internet connection and that your browser is compatible with the games. You should also make sure you have an up-to-date version of Flash player and check your JavaScript is enabled.
