If the girls have inspired you to start dating again, here’s our fast and furious guide to
getting yourself back out there. By match.com’s relationship expert, Kate Taylor

Don’t be picky
Perfectionism can be a mask for fear – scared of getting it wrong again, you prefer to shelter behind an impossibly long list of Must-Haves, and only go out with people who might be The One. Good plan? Bad plan. Being fussy causes you to put too much focus on each date. Instead, just get out there. Having dates will boost your confidence so much that when you do meet someone who might be the one for you, you’ll be much more relaxed.

Cast your net wide
Do one thing every week that is specifically targeted to help you meet new people within a social environment. That’s crucial. You have to be approachable. So, don’t eat dinner alone in a restaurant – sit and eat up at the bar, where etiquette states people are “allowed” to talk to you.

Don’t wander round bookshops hoping to bump into a fellow bookworm – join a book-club held in a lively café or pub. Don’t expect anyone to chat you up in the gym, but do go along to social events held in the gym’s bar. See the difference?

Go online
Online-dating is now the third most popular place for singles to find love – so there’s no reason not to give it a try. We’ve given the guys who didn’t get chosen for a date with Laura, Amy or Sarah the opportunity to have their very own profile on match.com. So if anyone from the show has caught your eye, but failed to catch the girls’, then why not visit www.match.com/girlfri3nds and see how you can get in touch with them?
