Charlotte Hawkins relives her job as an assistant at The Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre in Sidlesham, West Sussex. Charlotte worked at this animal rescue centre from the age of 14 - her father, the local vicar at the time, had blessed the land when it opened in in 1986.
Charlotte went back to the Centre where the founder and owner Monique remembers her fondly. The centre currently has around 250 animals in house, and they re-home around 800 pets a year. Charlotte helped the six staff clean and feed the animals and joined the in house vet team that come in for checks and neutering.
