James Blunt has busked with Bear Grylls, is friends with the royals, served in the army with Prince Harry and this morning joined us in the Good Morning Britain studio.

The singer-songwriter joined Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid for a rare chat before Christmas to promote his fifth album The Afterlove.

Piers was so excited for James’ arrival that he sung, or at least tried to sing, his biggest hit You’re Beautiful all morning - much to the joy of Susanna and the rest of the GMB viewers.

Piers Morgan loses weight loss bet to Lord Sugar

Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan has lost his weight loss battle with Lord Sugar.

Two months ago the duo started a weight loss challenge, agreeing that the person who lost the least weight would donate £5,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

And in today’s much-anticipated weigh-in, it was revealed The Apprentice’s Lord Sugar had lost a whopping 19lbs, while Piers had lost 8lbs.

Keith Chegwin has died at the age of 60 after battling a long lung illness, his family have said in a statement.

The former Cheggers Play Pop presenter and Big Breakfast reporter died at home on Monday morning.

His family said: "We are heartbroken to share the news that Keith Chegwin sadly passed away following a long-term battle with a progressive lung condition, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which rapidly worsened towards the end of this year.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo has her sights set on a job on Good Morning Britain now she’s out of the Jungle.

Asked what her plans were after taking the reality show crown, she told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: “I want to do what you guys do – I want to try it! But I mean, who knows! I’m just completely and utterly overwhelmed.”

Teasing his co-host, Piers replied: “You know Toff, we could have a vacancy on this desk, absolutely no problem at all…”.

'Is he still PM?' Stanley Johnson makes Boris gaffe

You could perhaps forgive Stanley Johnson for feeling a tad bewildered after his time on I'm a Celebrity, what with the lack of food and creepy crawlies.

However the author and activist seemed to forget what his son does for a a living when he was interviewed by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard on Thursday's Good Morning Britain.

When asked if he's had any contact with Boris since leaving the Jungle, he asked: "Is he still PM?" before quickly correcting himself and saying he's had Whatsapp messages from his Foreign Secretary son.

Singer, songwriter, supermodel and former French First Lady Carla Bruni joined Wednesday's Good Morning Britain to talk about female empowerment, performing in London for the first time this weekend and more.

Talking of the main topic discussed on the show - of Emily Ratakowski's claim of empowering women by posing in her lingerie and writhing around in spaghetti - Carla said: " I don't know about feminism but certainly it's about being free. She can do whatever she wants - we're in a democracy, you know - but I don't know if it's empowering."
