From the Dales to drop kicks for Kelvin

It's been a great platform. It's great looking back but who knows what will come in the future.

– Kelvin Fletcher on Emmerdale

He's played Andy Sugden on Emmerdale for nearly 20 years but now Kelvin Fletcher is taking to the pitch and going head-to-head with fellow celebs and former professional players in Rugby Aid 2015 to raise awareness and money for charity Rugby for Heroes.

McBusted star Harry Judd, ex JLS star JB Gill, Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing and Louie Spence are all involved.

He joined us today to talk all about it...

I'm a huge rugby fan. Being a true Northerner I grew up watching and playing rugby. The event is basically a bunch of ex pros and celebrities playing and raising money for charity.

X Factor is back!

If anything did happen it would be weird. It would be like getting off with my dad.

– Caroline Flack plays down rumours of a romance with Olly Murs

With the The X Factor returning to our screens on Saturday, Richard Arnold caught up with the judges and presenters to talk beards, bromances and snogging at the red carpet launch in London last night.

But while usually the girls grab the headlines for their outfits, it was Simon Cowell who got tongues wagging as he sported a new scruffy beard!

Whatever they want to do, we'll support them...

1D perform, thank crowds... but don't mention split

Subdued is not a word you would use to describe the concert!

– Journalist Piet Levy

One Direction performed in concert last night for the first time since they announced their plans to split next year.

The famous four wowed 25,000 excited and emotional fans in Miller Park, Milwaukee. The band members didn't mention their forthcoming separation - but did give a shout out to the local football team and thanked the crowds for creating such a happy atmosphere.

We chat to journalist Piet Levy, who was at the concert.

Did your wedding dance impress your guests?

The summer is coming to and end and so is the wedding season, but many nuptials won't be forgotten thanks to viral videos of the first dance.

It seems many couples feel the pressure to get that crowd-pleasing moment right, with a 30% increase in demand for lessons and choreography this year.

Did you dance a special wedding dance on your big day? Was your waltz a winner, or did your steps fail to impress? Let's hope you didn't end up on the floor, like the last bride in our montage. Ouch!

It's time to get tough with Susanna and Kate!

Kate and Susanna donned combat trousers and personalised t-shirts to film at an obstacle course ahead of our Tough Mums challenge launching on the show in September.

No, Susanna, this isn't going to be an easy ride!

Soon 50 Good Morning Britain mums will complete a 5k obstacle course, designed by Tough Mudder and featuring some of its most exciting signature obstacles, and our presenters will help cheer them on. The Tough Mums will push themselves to the limit mentally and physically as they take on 10 obstacles which will see them climbing walls, jumping into ice and crossing muddy pools.

You're going to have to work harder than this, ladies!

For our promo, Susanna and Kate were filmed with a drill sergeant and are seen giving him a £20 note when he asks them to drop and give him 20.

Susanna Reid said: “We’re hoping to get some really inspirational mums taking part in the assault course for Tough Mums. It’s definitely going to push them to their limits but it will be a great challenge and they'll be able to raise money for charity too.”

Tune in on September 1st to find out about how to get involved with Tough Mums...

We think Kate's finally getting the swing of it!

What's next for One Direction?

They're going their separate ways to pursue solo projects but what really lies in store for Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis?

For a start, movie mogul Harvey Weinstein has indicated that Harry has a future in Hollywood, saying: "'He's like Errol Flynn, he's got that swashbuckling charm. Definite star potential. I think he'd be great. No question."

The producer and director also revealed that he had already offered Harry a role in one of his movies but the singer had to turn it down due to One Direction commitments.

So, what about the other boys? We discuss what they might do next with our panel popstar Markus Feehily, magazine editor Hannah Fernando and radio DJ Gemma Cairney - plus we take a look back at the history of the boyband break-up.

Westlife's Markus on pressures of boyband fame

I can definitely relate to the fact of needing a break, just to get away from it all, to get away from questions and photographs and performances

– Markus on One Direction's split

He's known what it's like to be adored the world over as part of a boyband and now former Westlife singer Markus Feehily joins us to talk the pressures of fame at a young age, boyband break-ups and what's next for him.
