#ShirtPiersUp: Help us make Piers wear a SPURS shirt!

So, it’s the moment everyone has been waiting for…

In support of Red Nose Day, I have begrudgingly agreed to stop tweeting, writing, broadcasting and just generally running off at the mouth for 24 whole hours. As you can imagine, this doesn’t come naturally and I anticipate some relentless taunting (I’m looking at you, Gary Lineker…).

I've agreed to be shut up to an even greater degree... by wearing a Spurs shirt. That is if the British public raises the total to £50,000.

So if you would like to see me suffer a great humiliation for a great cause, sponsor me now.

Our online poll showed the vast majority of viewers aren't impressed - with 80% of voters judging the lineup as 'soggy bottoms'!

We're all Irish today!

There are only two people in the world. There are the Irish and the people who want to be Irish.

– Eamonn Holmes

One of Ireland's biggest exports, Eamonn Holmes, joined us on the sofa and behind the bar this morning to spread some St Patrick's day cheer.

Eamonn revealed that St Patrick's day has always been the happiest day of the year for him. His father worked as a carpet fitter when he was a child, and would always take that day off to have a huge celebration. St Patrick's Day is also his wife Ruth's birthday, which makes it an even bigger day of celebration for him now!

Ex-barman Holmes, skilfully pulled the perfect pint for us - and of course the rest of the team made the most of his studio bar ...
