More than half of us are planning on going on a diet in the New Year - but will we be trying the right diets? Almost a third of us have tried a fad diet in the past and 40 per cent of people who've tried a fad diet haven't lasted longer than two weeks.
This comes as Public Health England exclusively reveal to GMB that 41 per cent of 40 to 60 years olds are more likely to be obese or suffer from a heart condition than 20 years ago.
So, this year, GMB is saving the UK from fad diets and helping the nation lose weight, once and for all!
We've put fad diets under the microscope with a series of scientific tests and - alongside registered dietitian Lynne Garton - we've devised a food and fitness plan based on FACTS not FADS. Our diet is for life and not just for the New Year - plus, it's supported by the British Dietetic Association.
We'll also get you fit with top celebrity fitness trainer, Richard Callender! The Fad Free daily workouts will work your entire body across the week. Over time, the plan will help you lose weight and get in shape.
Each daily workout is just 15 minutes including warm up and cool down – so there are no excuses! For when you have extra time, Richard’s Weekend Workout is the perfect way to burn those calories and get in shape.
To help you decide what to eat and how to exercise each day, we've devised an easy-to-follow 28-day plan which gives you ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and how to keep on moving.
