How is Brexit going to affect your mortgage?

We're going to see a bit of a bumpy ride with house prices

– Sarah Beeny

Sarah Beeny has told Good Morning Britain that there's "no need to panic" about how Brexit will affect the housing market - but says for some areas there's going to be "a bit of a bumpy ride".

The property developer and television presenter, who has a new series called How to Live Mortgage Free, gave her financial forecast for the market and told us where she thinks the top places to buy are as well as her tips for paying off your mortgage.

At the beginning of the interview Sarah also touched upon Piers' current hot topic of gender neutrality, telling us she'd like to see more equality and in particular cases of men taking on female occupational titles, such as nurse.

The credit card loophole you didn't know about

Think your payments are always safe when paying by credit card? Think again. Research by Good Morning Britain has found that a regulation loophole means customers who inadvertently pay for goods through a third-party payment process may be leaving themselves exposed.

We spoke with Jill Thompson, who lost £15,000 when she paid for part of her new kitchen on credit card so she would be covered. However, when the work carried out went wrong, she wasn't covered because the credit card payment was carried out by a third party. "It's been horrendous," she told us.
