Both sides agree to 72 hour Gaza ceasefire
Relatives of a Palestinian, who doctors say was killed by an Isreali shell, mourn at a Gaza hospital.
Israel and Palestine have both agreed to a 72 hour ceasefire for the first time in a bloody three-week conflict.
The ceasefire begins at 6am this morning, at which point representatives on both sides will meet in Cairo for peace negotiations.
In a joint statement, UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon and US secretary of state John Kerry said the ceasefire would give “innocent civilians a much-needed reprieve from violence”
