Parents have such busy lives, do we have time to teach our children how to ride a bike?
Parents in New York are resorting to paying someone else to do it - $125 an hour for a tutor. Many parents are just too busy to show their kids, not fit enough or don't actually know how to do it themselves.
Tutors say children who can't ride a bike often feel ostracised, and can be affected socially and emotionally.
A new YouGov survey for Halfords also shows the British public overwhelmingly wants children to be taught to cycle safely at school.
More than 80 percent of a 4,600-strong survey group said they would support a legal requirement that meant children were taught to cycle confidently, competently and proficiently in school.
