Extremely cold temperatures are continuing to affect parts of the country with severe frost, ice and some freezing fog patches. The recent hazardous conditions has seen hundreds of schools close, thousands left without power and several flights delayed. An explosion that injured four people and sparked mass evacuations during rush hour in central Manhattan was an attempted terror attack, New York City's Mayor has said.
