All about ITV Hub+

What is ITV Hub+?

ITV Hub+ is the new name for the ITV Premium subscription service. For £3.99 a month, you can access ITV programmes ad-free by signing up via iTunes on your iOS device. You can also sign up at our website, itv.com, by either registering for an ITV account or by signing in with your current details and going to "Manage account" within your profile settings.

Once you've subscribed, you can sign in on the ITV Hub app on iOS, on our website using your PC or Mac, or log in through our the ITV Hub app on your Smart TV, to enjoy the benefits even more.

And, for those with iPhones or iPads, you can now download some of your favourite shows to your device for offline viewing. How good is that!

How do I subscribe to ITV Hub+?

Subscribing on our website
You can now subscribe to the ITV Hub+ on our website, itv.com, by registering a new ITV account or by going to the "Manage account" section of your ITV profile when signed in.

You will be billed monthly for your subscription and you'll receive an invoice email with all of the details. Once your subscription is complete, you can access the service on your Apple devices and on smart TV, too!

Another way to subscribe is by going to the Settings section of the ITV Hub+ app using your iPad or iPhone. This will then also allow you to watch ad-free on our website using your PC or Mac, and also on the ITV Hub app on your Smart TV if you sign in.

Once you're subscribed, your first month’s subscription will be charged to your iTunes account, and you’ll be charged on the same date each month until you wish to cancel. Alternatively, you can switch off Auto-Renewal in your iTunes settings, but do be aware that if you cancel your subscription part way through the month, you will still be debited the full amount. You will still be able to access all the great telly on ITV Hub+ until the date your subscription runs out.

Where can I use my ITV Hub+ subscription?

If you have an ITV Hub+ subscription, you can watch ad-free on our website, iOS and Android devices and most Connected TV devices, by signing in to your account.

ITV Hub+ is not currently available on Windows phones, Freesat or NOW TV / Roku, and is only available on Samsung Smart TV models 2013 or later.

I've bought my ITV Hub+ subscription on iOS but I'm still seeing ads on my PC/Mac.

On occasion it can take up to 24 hours for the subscription to be automatically recognised by your PC or Mac. Simply logging out of your account on that device and logging back in should fix the problem straight away.

Can I download shows using ITV Hub+?

Yes! You can download shows onto an iPhone or iPad.

Simply tap the "Download" icon beneath an episode that you'd like to download - make sure you're connected to wifi and your download will begin straight away. You can queue up and store as many shows as you like.

Anything that you've downloaded is there for you to enjoy for up to 7 days unless it is due to expire from the ITV Hub before then. You can access all of your downloads by going to 'My ITV' within the app and then tapping on Downloads.

Please note that you cannot download shows onto a PC or Mac.

Why are some shows not available to download?

Most of our shows are available for you to download and enjoy offline. However, there must be at least 7 days remaining on the show's availability for you to be able to download it.

Unfortunately there are a handful of shows that we cannot make available for downloading due to rights restrictions.

Am I paying Apple or ITV for my subscription?

If you've subscribed via your iPad or iPhone via the Apple iTunes App Store, you will be billed by Apple for your subscription. You should also receive an email from Apple each month, just before your subscription is automatically renewed.

If you subscribed on itv.com, then your payments come directly to ITV. You'll receive receipts via email from us each month when your subscription is automatically renewed.

Do I have to be registered with the ITV Hub to use my Hub+ subscription?

Yes, you need to be a registered viewer of the ITV Hub.

Do I need to verify my email to use ITV Hub+?

When you sign up for ITV Hub+ via our website (itv.com), we need to verify that we have the right emails address so you can watch ad-free. To finish the process, and make sure you're receiving all the benefits of ITV Hub+, just follow the link in the email.

If you don't verify your account, when you go to play a video you will be prompted to do so and will be sent another verification email.

How do I verify my email address?

If you haven't yet verified your email address, you will be asked to when you try to play a video. Click "Resend email" within the pop-up and a verification email will be sent to the email address that you signed up with.

Once you receive the verification email, make sure you click the link within the body of the email to finish the verification process.

Where is my verification email?

If you can’t find your verification email or you’re not sure where it was sent, here are some tips to help you find it:
1. Search for it in your inbox. The verification email will have come from “ITV Hub+”
2. Try checking your spam or junk folders. Sometimes our emails end up in there!
3. It may sound silly, but make sure you’re checking the right email account
4. Resend the verification email by signing in and clicking "play" on a video (you will be prompted to verify & resend the email)

I have a problem with my payment. Who do I contact?

I'd like to cancel my subscription. How do I do this?

As an Apple subscriber who pays via Apple iTunes Store, you will need to speak directly to Apple. You can visit them here.

If you subscribed on our website (www.itv.com) then you can get in touch with us directly and we'll be happy to help. Simply reply to your welcome or receipt email, get in touch via itvhubhelp@itv.com or drop us a tweet @itvhub. It may take us a few days to fully process the cancellation.

Can I get a refund if I cancel halfway through the month?

Partial refunds are not available, but if you cancel part way through a month, you will still get the benefits of ITV Hub+ until the date your subscription expires. Once your subscription has expired, you will see the regular adverts again.

Why am I still seeing adverts on Family Guy and American Dad?

Due to rights restrictions, unfortunately these programmes will still contain ads.
