What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication".

With RSS you can choose to view the content you want, the content that interests you and are relevant to your work and home life.

RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favourite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

Rather than going to your favourite website to see what’s new, RSS can tell you automatically what latest news items, blog postings, photo galleries or videos are available to view.

You can add RSS functionality to your own web site, blog or homepage to bring you the most up-to-date content from a web site at a glance.

What is a widget?

A widget is a mini application which anybody can grab and share on their webpage, blog, social networking site such as MySpace or Facebook and email to friends.

How does the ITV widget work?

Our widget reads the RSS in the background and displays the results in a nice user friendly format.

When you click the links inside the widget, it takes you straight to the area of the web site where the article of interest lives. No fussing about with search engines and trying to remember where that article is on the website. Just click and enjoy.

What can I get from the ITV widget?

Now you can have the most up-to-date Soaps Previews and Catch Ups sent straight to you.

You can embed the widget in your own web site or blog, add it to your Google homepage or Facebook profile and even send to your friends via email.

It’s safe and easy to use and means that you can stay up to date with latest Coronation Street and Emmerdale storylines.
