Roll out the red carpet and put the stubbies on ice – Dougie Poynter is our new Jungle King!

The McFly star pipped Mark Wright to the crown in a gripping final that saw them scoff bottoms, cockroaches, worms and worse in the last bile-inducing Bushtucker Trial.

“It was a super-fun life-changing experience,” said Dougie as he recalled his time in camp.

“I have no regrets about going into the jungle,” he added. “I had the most amazing time and would do it all again if I could.”

Runner-up Mark was over the moon to see his good pal win the contest. “It’s not a competition,” he told Ant and Dec. “It’s an experience of a lifetime.”

“I’ve done things that have taken me out of my comfort zone and met people I’d never have met at home,” he beamed.

So, there you have it. Dougie is our new Jungle King – with good pal Mark as his right-hand man.

And as Dougie victoriously strolled over the bridge to begin his reign, you knew the pair would be reunited later on for one of Mark’s trademark cuddles.

But what next? Will Dougie get the Christmas No.1 with his jungle-themed song about the celebs? Will Mark and Emily really end up on a date in Essex?
