FAQs
What is ITV1 HD?
ITV1 HD is ITV1’s high definition channel. It is a 24-hour channel, showing all ITV1 programmes, at the same time as they appear on ITV1, but in either native high definition or upscaled standard definition. On April 2nd, this 24-hour channel will also launch on Sky, Virgin, Freeview and Freesat. Until now, Freesat has only offered a service to view native HD material via the red button. From April 2nd, the 24-hour channel will be available as well as the red button service.
What is the difference between native high definition and upscaled standard definition?
