Do you consider us a chubby nation?
If so, you’re not alone. The majority of the British population believe we're on the tubby side.
The Great British Body survey, carried out by Ipsos MORI, sampled of over 2000 people and showed 65% feel as a nation we're on the chubby side.
When asked about their own body shape, 37% described themselves as chubby or curvy with 23% of people considering themselves as slim. The survey also found that 64% of the population are happy with their bodies, with the north west of Great Britain proving to be the happiest with 73%.
But despite the majority being happy, only one in three said they wouldn’t change anything about their bodies; with the tummy ranking as the highest offender.
Over 20% of men and 39% of women wished they could change their stomach. This correlates with the ever expanding British waistline, as the survey found that over 10% of those in Great Britain now have a waistline of over 40 inches.
