She went on to become a television star of the 80s gaining lead roles in American classic soaps American Hospital, Dynasty and The Colbys.
Later this month Emma will finally realise her dreams of dancing on stage when she appears in the new Sadlers Wells production Shall We Dance co-starring Adam Cooper.
Emma plays a woman in America who tries to entice Adam's character: “My character is a very powerful strong person who spots Adam's character and think to herself, 'I'll have that'. She is all over him like a rash!”
Whilst Emma is over the moon to be on the stage again, it has definitely been hard work. "I feel like I'm in the best shape I've been in years, but there has definitely been a price to pay for it."
