He broke many a heart during his stint as bad-boy Robert Sugden in Emmerdale, but since then, Karl Davies, 27, has enjoyed playing the loveable role of young solicitor, Lyle Anderson in ITV1's Kingdom.
Starring alongside Stephen Fry in the third series of ITV1's popular drama, Karl has recently found himself being dangled from a crane and stampeded by a herd of horses... all in the name of acting!
Karl admits that he wasn't too bothered about taking on the stunts, even the hairier ones: “That's definitely me dangling from the crane, not a stunt man. Then the builder tried to set me in cement. It was great fun."
Since playing the bad-boy character of Robert Sugden in Emmerdale. Karl says he would love to play a nasty character again.
"I've been a nice guy for a bit too long.. Although I love all the light hearted stuff in Kingdom I'd like to mix it up a bit."
