Now, after treading the boards in London's West End, he's back to break more hearts as the new dashing lead in returning BBC1 drama 'Hotel Babylon'.
The credit crunch has hit hard and Nigel's new role is an impulsive millionaire businessman, sees him buying the hotel.
Sam claps eyes on his ex-wife, the hotel manager Juliet (played by fellow Babylon newcomer Anna Wilson-Jones) upon arriving.
Nile explains: "It’s a shock for both of them. Juliet couldn't take the unpredictability of married life with Sam, and grew tired of it. But they've both changed, and its obvious there's a lot of unfinished business between them.”
