Kym Marsh: Born Too Soon

Kym chats about her stint as a reporter on ITV1’s Tonight programme, plus Corrie.

In February 2009 Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh, 33, gave birth to a baby boy, Archie, at just 21 weeks and five days. Sadly he died after a few moments of life.

More than 50,000 babies are born prematurely each year in the UK, one of the highest rates in Europe.

Recently voted Celebrity Mum Of The Year Kym wanted to find out more about premature birth and so filmed Born Too Soon for the Tonight programme which airs Monday 9th November at 8pm.

Kym says: "I hoped that doing this programme would go someway to finding some kind of answer as to why these things might go wrong with pregnancies."

Kym admits working on the programme was a hard decision to make but says she wanted to turn her negative experience into a positive one.

Kym also tells us what Corrie's feistiest barmaid, Michelle Connor, is up to, including whether or not she has finally found love with hunky roofer Jake!

Michelle's next main storyline will be when she discovers who murdered her brother Liam last year.

Liam was murdered during Underworld boss, Tony Gordon's stag do after Tony secretly arranged a hit and run.

Michelle says she sees her future on the cobbles and adds that she loves the constant challenges and the friends she has made.

She says: "I really do love it there, they're all such good mates of mine and so supportive when you need them and my role is always changing and I love the challenge."
