Denise Robertson looks into the problem of teenage pregnancies in the UK.
In February 2009 the Office of National Statistics revealed that Britain has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in Europe and earlier this week the Department of Health released their latest findings which showed a sharp rise in abortions amongst teens.
The UK is second only to the U.S, according to figures compiled by the World Health Organisation.
Denise visits Janine Stagg who runs a hostel for teen mums who believes the high rate of teenage pregnancies in Britain is because of low self esteem in our teenagers.
Finally Denise speaks to children in a London youth club about sex and sex education - they all tell her that they won't get caught in the trap of teenage pregnancy.
Denise says that sex education in the UK focuses too much on contraception and she believes sex education should begin at infant school.
Denise believes schools need to teach young people how to handle sex as well as the realities of having a baby.
And she says that Ed Balls should tell parents exactly what sex education their children will receive at school and what age they will get it.
