Her dreams came true last year when she was voted the winner of X Factor 2008.

Since then Alexandra Burke has gone on to break records and have two number one hit singles - the latest being Bad Boys.

Alexandra had been recording her debut album when she heard the song and knew it had to be the first single from the album.

She explains: "This is what I do! I go for the bad boys. I go for the boys I'm not meant to. I went back to New York to record it and I just knew that it had to be the first single. I texted Simon saying 'Bad Boys for first single?' and he texted straight back saying 'most definitely'."

As well as loving bad boys Alexandra has enjoyed working with them to for the video and also on the X Factor performance, where she was accompanied by 42 of them.

"Dancing with them was absolutely amazing! I'm so lucky getting to do all of that. Although Cheryl wouldn't let me be in the room when they were all auditioning, she said it would ruin my concentration - she was so right!"

Cheryl Cole was Alexandra's mentor on the show last year and the pair have stayed in close contact since the programme finished.

Alex said: "We text each other all the time...I'm very open with her a lot of things I wouldn't even tell my sister. And my sister's my best mate."
