George is part of the original crew who boldly went where no man has ever gone before!

Best known as Star Trek's Mr Sulu, George Takei is the oldest ever I'm A Celeb contestant. He joins Holly and Phil to tell all about his rumbles in the jungle and what he thinks about the show this year.

George had never seen the show before entering the jungle! "I seriously didn't have a clue what I was letting myself in for."

It soon became obvious to everybody that George and fellow camp mate Joe Swash formed an incredible friendship inside the camp. "I kind of fell in love with Joey in the jungle. He is the most genuine, honest loving person."

Initially before entering the jungle George was very optimistic about the trials ahead of him, so he got quite a surprise: "Nothing could have prepared me for those trials! The nastiest one was when I had to eat the grub worms, they kept on repeating on me throughout the day, about every five hours it would taste as if something had just died in my mouth! Disgusting"

Despite being hungry, devoid of hot showers and other minor luxuries George missed his husband the most: "I have never been as hungry in all of my life, and yet despite this, the one thing I missed the most was Brad. Forget food, showers, carpets - just Brad."

George is playing the Emperor of China in Aladdin in Chatham this Christmas. Devoted Star Trek fans from across the globe have snapped up tickets already!
