EastEnders

• DCI Jill Marsden is returning played by actress Sophie Stanton. She will head up the investigation into Archie Mitchell's murder.. Will she finally manage to nail him and get him sent down - could he cop the blame?
• They have filmed Archie Mitchell's funeral and newspaper reports show Larry Lamb turning up for filming - is Archie coming back from the dead? Rest assured he's not appearing as a ghost or coming back from the dead - he just turned up to watch filming. Phil and Peggy were both there too and there was a scene in which they appear to be arguing.
• Archie will tell Bianca that he saw Sam and Jack kissing. Could Bianca and Ricky be back on? What's Archie plotting - can he convince Sam to flee Walford? Does he really have cancer?
• Charlie Clemments is leaving He will bail out as part of the show's 25th anniversary in March.
• There is no Friday episode due to Children In Need.

Emmerdale

• Sally will try and kill again. She's tried burning her - next Sally will try and smother Laurel with a pillow!
• Sally continues to move in on Ashley. After last week's amazing fire scenes Laurel stays in hospital - and Sally moves in on Ashley. No-one realises that she was behind the fire - or believes Laurel when she says the church door was locked. Sally even sits down with Laurel's kids and helps them make a card.
• Jo Gilgun (Eli Dingle) has quit Emmerdale.
• Could David and Leyla be back on track? Doug will have a word with David and convince him to fight for his girl. Good old Doug!
• Could Marlon have fallen for married Moira? He gets a little amorous in the kitchen as she helps him prepare some pot pies this week.
• Mark is set to get jealous as Jai moves in on Faye. We know Mark will leave in the New Year - but will it be with Faye or not?

Coronation Street

• Tony is arrested and takes deadly revenge on Roy on a scene that involves a knife.. and a canal.
• Who's next? Is Maria's life in danger? Or baby Liam's? Maria starts to panic as she learns the full truth about her man she was about to marry - this is her last few episodes before she went on maternity leave.
• Next week Carla arrives back - and first person she goes to see is Maria.
  Joe will confess to Gail a little about his debt - they go ahead with the wedding - but is it doomed - as he hasn't told her about the debt collector.
• Sally will ask to see Kevin's accounts at the garage - which could be an issue given how many motel rooms the garage has been forking out for recently… and that they have had none of the 'emergency breakdowns' that he has been claiming - is his secret out?
• Sally's about to be demoted to a machinist at the factory - heaping further insult on her - she goes home in tears, but Molly and Kev will be romping in her bed!

Hollyoaks

• Little Tom will be rushed to hospital after knocking back an alcoholic cocktail whilst Darren is supposed to be looking after him.
• Amy returns tonight but cannot bond with her children .
• Rae, (who used to be imaginary, but isn't anymore) returns, but threatens Newt, and then makes weird statements to him telling him "he's death".
• Loretta will confess to Jake  - she'll admit that it was her who wrote the letters to him - not Hannah.
• Lena Kaur has quit her role as art student Leila Roy - she leaves screen in January but will she leave a path of destruction in her wake? Or will she go off happily into the sunset?
