Katie Derham

Katie started her career working at the BBC as an award-winning financial journalist on Radio 4 and 5 Live. But in 1996, she made the jump sideways to entertainment working as a reporter on Film 96. She then moved to the ITV national news in 1998 as Media and Arts Correspondent, and subsequently became a presenter. She's been involved in many major stories including the Iraq War, various elections, budgets and royal weddings. She joined the London Tonight team in 2004. Among her adventures with us, she flew to Moscow in 2008 to cover Chelsea's appearance in the Champions League Final - made even more difficult because her family support Arsenal. But Katie is also known for her love of classical music, she presents a weekly radio show for Classic FM, has hosted the Classical Brits at the Royal Albert Hall, presented the occasional Prom and even waved a baton enthusiastically on orchestral reality show 'Maestro'.

Matt Teale

Matt Teale is an award-winning journalist with a background as a news reporter and documentary maker. He's worked as a presenter for Setanta Sports News and ITV Central in the Midlands during which time he won a coveted RTS Sports Award. Matt reported live from Jamaica following the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer in 2007 and accompanied former Cabinet minister Clare Short to Washington following her controversial resignation from the government in 2003. Lighter assignments have also seen Matt learn to wakeboard, ride a speedway bike and follow the entrants to the infamous Gumball Rally as they drove coast to coast across America in just six days. In 2008, Matt produced a series of award-winning features about athletes from around the UK taking part in the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai. It's an event for people with learning disabilities and an organisation Matt has taken a keen interest in ever since.

Ben Scotchbrook

Anyone who likes their London news later in the day will have seen Ben popping up on our late evening programme. He likes to think of News At Ten as the warm-up act. Over 15 years with ITN, his various tours of duty have seen him producing at the Oscars, reporting from the White House, and talking to the Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs in Rio. As part of the London Tonight team, he's travelled to Moscow to preview Russian acts heading to Trafalgar Square... and joined RAF cadets renovating a local school in a Ghanaian village. And then there are the people he's chatted with on the London Tonight sofa - including World Champion boxers, Oscar winning directors and Mayors of London - both of them. Oh, and the legend that is Rolf Harris - he's rather proud of a little picture Rolf drew for him: "Not everyone brings one of those home from the office."

Lucy Cotter

Lucy never really expected to be an Entertainment Correspondent. Having studied psychology, sociology and politics, she imagined a career following the exploits of politicians not celebrities. However, the opportunity arose and she's been hooked on 'Heat' and 'Hello' magazine ever since. When Lucy started, she never dreamed she'd get kisses from Will Smith, hugs from Hugh Jackman and George Clooney saying 'yes' when she proposed to him. We have it on tape and George... we're still waiting! Her job involves covering lots of film premieres from Leicester Square which can be hilariously hairy - anything can happen. She's had to scrabble around the floor to rescue Helen Mirren's earring and pick a fly off Sarah Jessica Parker's face live on air. But her dream assignment was being sent to cover the Oscars in Los Angeles - she describes it as "manic from the word go but amazing".

Faye Barker

Faye regularly presents the London bulletins during GMTV and early birds nationwide can also catch her presenting the ITV Morning News at 5:30am. She started her broadcasting career at CNBC in 1996 where her main priority as a news assistant was making good cups of tea and ordering breakfast for all the important people. That attention to detail soon paid off and a few years later, she became a presenter and reporter for Five News. Next came a call from ITV Yorkshire where Faye joined the presenting team on the regional news programme Calendar. She spent three summers exposing holiday horrors (and avoiding angry hoteliers) for the ITV1 programme "Package Holiday Undercover". She also presented an award winning undercover investigation into the dangers of bogus taxis. In 2005, Faye went freelance, working across several TV channels before returning to a permanent berth at ITV. However, she says she still makes a good cup of tea.

Charlene White

Charlene is a South Londoner born and bred, and has worked at ITV London since 2008. She's had a varied career before landing on our doorstep -- working at ITV Meridian, lots of jobs at the BBC and even lived in the USA writing for the New York Post. The strangest feature she wrote was 'How To Pick Up a New York Fireman' which meant finding the best place in Manhattan to meet single firemen. As she says, "Gosh it was a tough assignment". She's also covered the July 7th bombings, riots in Paris and interviewed Jay-Z - "I've ended up in some truly dodgy situations working in this job, but I can't lie… I love it. I've interviewed some weird people, some inspirational people, and been told some incredible stories." When she's not being a news geek, Charlene can be found feeding her clothes and shoes addiction in Bromley, or wandering aimlessly around Lewisham market.
