Trans-Atlantic Eels

We're used to American cuisine coming over here, meals like burgers and fries. But do our trans-Atlantic allies have the tastebuds, or more importantly, the stomachs for a traditional East London dish? Shops like F. Cooke's in Hoxton specifically trade in pie and mash and jellied eels. But now, entrepreuner Jim Thurston, who runs the website www.eelhouse.co.uk, is planning to open up his own shop in New York, where customers will be able to sample the famous dishes.
