Journalist Barney Bardsley has been recounting today the advice given to him by his grandmother when she was alive.
One of her pearls of wisdom he says that he's never forgotten was to always sure his shoes were clean, because his grandmother believed that a man who doesn't shine his shoes could never be trusted.
