Emotional Coleen Nolan cries as sister Linda talks about living with cancer: 'My life belongs to cancer at the moment'
LINDA NOLAN OPENS UP ABOUT LIVING WITH CANCER AND COLEEN IS OVERWHELMED
After appearing on the show to talk about having secondary cancer which can be treated but not cured, Linda bravely decided to share her experiences with others. And in the first part of her 'cancer diaries' Linda opened up about sometimes struggling, especially at night.
'My husband isn't here. The first time around he would put his arms around me and say, "It's going to be ok",' Linda said. 'And you'd think it is going to be ok because he's here, you know? And I do have great support but I still wake up in the night and he's not there and it's a double blow. I do miss that one person you can be 100 per cent raw with, if you like.'
‘Sometimes you feel a bit sorry for yourself and you think, my life is surrounded by cancer,’ Linda said. ‘My life belongs to cancer at the moment. I don’t mean that to sound like I’m the victim. This illness has no friends, it doesn’t have any favourites. I don’t think we’ve ever thought we’re cursed really. We’re maybe unlucky.’
After watching Linda's video, Coleen was in understandably upset.
'I think we are just strong for each other. We cover a lot of it with humour and sarcasm, it's the way we get through it. We try and be strong for each other when we are together.'
Watch the video to see Linda talk candidly about living with cancer and Coleen's emotional response.
