Kerry Katona reaches out to Danniella Westbrook and reveals: 'I've been clean from drugs for nine years'
KERRY KATONA TALKS ABOUT BEING DRUG FREE FOR NINE YEARS AND REACHES OUT TO DANNIELLA WESTBROOK AS SHE PLANS TO BECOME A LIFE COACH
Former Loose WomanKerry Katona joined us to reveal her plans to become a life coach after nine years sober. She also talked about living with bipolar and how she's uses diet and fitness to help her.
'What's helped for me is exercise. It's all about what you're putting inside your body. Food affects your mood, and cutting out the men,' Kerry said. 'I'm in control now, No one's in control of me anymore.'
‘I can’t sit here and say I have it [bipolar] under control – at this very moment in time I feel confident and sexier than ever,’ Kerry said. ‘My mind-set is on top form and I’ve fallen in love with me. I'll be honest with you, I like going on those highs and I often question myself and think, "Why did I do drugs?"'
Kerry also discussed her love life as she is now single following three divorces.
‘I think because it has taken me so long [to fall in love with myself] I’ve looked at my life and I think when I was a child I didn’t want to be rich and famous, I wanted to be a mum and wife,’ she said. ‘I met Brian [McFadden], and that failed, and I married the second one [Mark Croft] to try and fix something that was broken, to get married and produce kids. It’s taken me this long to realise, I don’t need a man. Hallelujah!’
Kerry is now planning to become a life coach, help others through her own experience. And she wants to reach out to friend Danniella Westbrook who has had history of drug problems like Kerry.
‘I was with her a few weekends ago and I don’t know if she is using [drugs] but I do know a lot of people are judging her because of her past,’ Kerry said. ‘It doesn’t make her a bad person, she had an addiction and she needs to realise she needs help.’
Talking directly down the camera to Danniella, Kerry said: ‘Danniella you know I’m your friend, we spoke the other day, you’re not alone, there is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about, don’t suffer in silence.’
