Model Tess Holliday: 'I'm celebrating my body and loving myself, when everybody said I wasn't worth anything'
PLUS-SIZE MODEL TESS HOLLIDAY TALKS BODY CONFIDENCE AND RECLAIMING THE WORD 'FAT'
She's taken the modelling world and social media by storm with her size 26 figure - and mum-of-two Tess talked openly about her battle to accept her size.
'No one is celebrating obesity, I am celebrating being the first model my size in the world to be in an industry where everyone said I couldn't,' Tess said. 'I am celebrating existing in my body and loving myself, when everybody said I wasn't worth anything.'
And Tess hit back at those people criticising her as a role model, insisting she's promoting self-confidence, not being over-weight.
'I would not go through having kids and what it does to your body to not be around for them,' Tess, who has released her autobiography The Not So Subtle Art of Being a Fat Girl, said of her health.
'I am very active, I always challenge anyone to keep up with a day in my life. I know that I am healthy. It's not my job to tell everyone that I am healthy, it's my job to tell everyone to love themselves.'
