Alex Jones on her post-baby body: 'Your skin is sallow and there's this little pouch just hanging loose and bereft'

ALEX JONES REVEALS HER STRUGGLES AFTER HAVING SON TEDDY AND THE REALITY OF WOMEN'S POST-BABY BODIES

When it comes to the months after having a baby, TV presenter Alex Jones is happy to talk candidly about how it changed her life.

Alex had son Edward - Teddy - on 22 January 2017 with husband Charlie Thomson and told us how she struggled with her post-baby body at first.

‘I didn’t think of what might happen afterwards, she said. ‘All new mothers feel it, the good hormones leave your body and you you realise this is it. You have that dip and they say it’s very common three-to-four days after, you get the baby blues.

‘I remember in the shower clearly, I tried one little pelvic floor [exercise] and nothing. You scan – [you see your] skin is sallow, this little pouch that held Teddy so carefully was just…hanging there loose and bereft. You have to learn to love a new body and it takes time.’
