Make your porridge more interesting by adding cinnamon, fruit and nuts.
80g porridge oats (as an alternative use millet or quinoa flakes)
200ml skimmed milk
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp runny honey
1 ripe banana sliced
1. Place the porridge oats into a saucepan along with the milk, water and cinnamon then bring up to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2. Place the walnuts onto a baking tray and roast in a pre-heated oven set at 160c for 5 minutes then chop roughly.
3. Place into serving bowls then top with the sliced banana, blueberries a drizzle of honey and the chopped walnuts.
