Carly Perkins, 28, is set to have a double mastectomy this Friday after discovering she carries the BRCA1 gene.

She was inspired by Michelle Heaton, who also has the gene and had the operation as a preventative measure, and says the singer gave her the confidence to make the decision to have her breasts removed.

She joins us now with Dr Hilary to tell us about her decision and of how much of an inspiration Michelle is to her.
