Free Dwell £15, free postcards worldwide, twp free Thorpe Park tickets, cheap uniforms and a holiday warning - these are Martin Lewis' Real Deals.
Web exclusive: National trust, kids go free
From medieval castles, to gold mines and hidden valleys, up to two children go free at selected National Trust properties per full-priced adult ticket.
The deal's running throughout August (excludes the bank holiday weekend, though). You'll need to register 'n' print a voucher from the National Trust website (see useful links).
Warning! Don't get too trollied on holiday
Going on holiday is meant to be a big, let you hair down extravaganza. Yet many people aren’t aware of the limitations, especially when it comes to travel insurance.
It's important to understand if you're drinking, even just merry, many travel insurers exclude cover. That means if, while drunk, you have an accident, get injured, lose your mobile, camera or cash, insurance may not help if you’re drunk.
There’s no easy solution to this, though forewarned is forearmed so think before you go out. Don't take valuables with you if you’re drinking and be careful.
Totally free Dwell £15
This does what it says on the tin. Register for Dwell's newsletter right now and you can print a no minimum spend £15 off voucher to use in the homeware store. However, this is for new registrants only.
As some items are under £15, you'll effectively get them for free and, for once, with these type of deals, there are goods of that price. These include candle holders, cushions and wine glass sets. Of course you can also use it as a discount off more expensive items.
Martin's Quickies:
- Send personalised postcards worldwide FREE: Go to the Touchnote site (see useful links), select a picture, or upload one of your own, and type your message. Once you’re done, click ‘Send free postcard’ and it can go anywhere worldwide – you can do this as many times as you like. The price goes back up to £1.49 on Saturday 1 September.
- 2 x 'free' Thorpe Park tix with £4ish newspaper spend: From this Saturday, collect eight tokens from The Sun (40p weekdays, 50p weekends) – so a maximum £3.80 (+ stamp costs). They can be adult or child tickets. As adult tickets are £43 each on the day this could save about £80, though you must be flexible on when you can go as it's done via date bands.
£4 four-piece school uniform: This is the cheapest I’ve seen so far, and it starts in-store at Aldi today – hurry if interested, as stock is limited. It's 2x polo shirts (£1.25), sweater (£1.25) and skirt/trousers (£1.50).
