Juice your way to eternal youth
Juice Master Jason Vale shows us recipes that can help fend off old age. This includes the Beet 'ageing' Juice which helps sight, Turbo Charge Smoothie and, Anti Oxidant King, which apparently help wrinkles and the Ginger Shot which acts as the ideal coffee replacement.
'Beet' Ageing Juice
1x medium raw beetroot
1 inch of lemon
2 apples
2 medium carrots
Benefits: Colourful fruits and vegetables. The antioxidants in colourful vegetables and fruits, such as leafy greens, deep red beetroot, blueberries, and carrots, help stop unstable molecules from damaging healthy cells.
Dark green, leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale, collard, and mustard greens are great for maintaining eye health, as well as bright-coloured produce including sweetcorn, peppers, oranges, and cantaloupe.
Turbo Charge Smoothie
1/4 small pineapple
1/2 stick celery
1 inch chunk of cucumber
1 small handful of spinach leaves
1 small piece of peeled lime
2 apples - (not Granny Smiths)
1/4 ripe avocado
Ice
Benefits: Health-promoting silicia in the skin of cucumber plumps out wrinkles and provides a natural collagen. This was made famous by Katie Price who juiced to lose her baby weight after giving birth to Harvey - she lost 2 stone in 3 months!
Anti Oxidant King
2 medium oranges (peeled but leave the pith on)
1 pear (conference)
1 handful of mixed berries (preferably blueberries and blackberries)
1/2 banana
Optional crunch - handful of mixed seeds
Benefits: This juice is amazing for getting Vitamin C - a great anti ager. Antioxidants like vitamin C can even help keep your skin younger-looking. One study linked eating lots of yellow and green vegetables to fewer wrinkles.
Ginger Shot/Coffee replacement
1/2 apple
1x inch ginger
This is a replacement for people's espresso coffee. Coffee speeds up the adrenal glands which speeds up ageing - although we can't slow down we can replace it with something healthy!
