The Humble Ukulele?

More popular than ever

There aren't many orchestras who can claim to have sold out concerts at both the Albert Hall and at Glastonbury. Especially when the instrument involved is the humble ukulele. The virtuosos in the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain are on a mission to prove that it's much more than just a child's first instrument. They've just begun a new tour around our region. Rachel Hepworth went to meet them rehearse in an unusual location. She talked to Peter Brooke Turner, Richie Williams, Hester Goodman and George Hinchliffe. For more details check out the orchestra's website.
