Carl Framtpon has become a two-weight world champion with a majority decision victory over Leo Santa Cruz in their featherweight title bout in New York.

Frampton, from Northern Ireland and a former super-bamtamweight, fought for the first time at 122lbs.

He gave an assured and composed performance to stun his unbeaten Mexican opponent, scoring a 23rd professional win.

Parliamentarians in Tunisia voted to dismiss Prime Minister Habib Essid after a no confidence ballot, clearing the way for a new government to speed up economic reforms.

Essid, who had been in office less than two years, was criticised for failing to push through a financial reforms package to create jobs and growth.

Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi has also called for a new unity government to push through reforms quickly.

Tunisia was the first country involved in the 'Arab Spring' and is seen as one of the most successful uprisings, since the country was able to transition into a parliamentary democracy.
