From the archive: a young Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes' dazzling century gave England one of their most remarkable Test win's at Lord's over the weekend.

The 23-year-old Cumbrian's performance has led to comparisons with one of the sports all-time greats, Ian Botham.

Ben grew up in Cockermouth and we've found a video of him as a teenager in 2005 when he was called up to the England under-15s squad.

Watch it here:

If you're wondering about the second teenager in the video, he's called Jordan Clark and currently plays county cricket for Lancashire.

Two stunt motorcyclists have been taken to hospital after colliding in mid-air during a "thunderball" performance.

The male riders were taking part in a Wall of Death-style performance when the incident happened.

Medics from East Anglia Air Ambulance treated the men before they were taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital. They are said to be in a stable condition.

The circus posted a statement on its Facebook page saying: "To all our audience from the 4.30pm show today, we would just like to thank you all for your support during the accident with our thunderball riders.

"We have just had an update from Ipswich Hospital and both are doing well and stable, soon to be on the mend.

"We want to thank you for your understanding as we had to cut short the show. However our riders' safety was, and is, our main priority.

"We will pass on all your kind words and well wishes and keep all posted on any updates."
