ITV News has obtained CCTV images of Drummer Lee Rigby wearing a Help For Heroes sweatshirt two days before he was killed in an attack in Woolwich.

Surveillance cameras show the murdered soldier in a fast food takeaway shop near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, where the 25-year-old soldier was based.

Timecodes on the footage show Drummer Rigby entering the shop at 9.23pm on Monday and leaving at 9.35pm.

The shop's owner said he knew the soldier as 'Lee' and said he was a regular customer.

Almost 100 senior British imams have signed a letter condemning the Woolwich attack and offering their condolences to the family of murdered soldier Lee Rigby. The letter said:

We share the absolute horror felt by the rest of British society at the sick and barbaric crime that was committed in the name of our religion.

We condemn this heinous atrocity in the strongest possible terms. It is a senseless act of pure depravity worthy of nothing but contempt. There can be no justification for murder.

The group also condemned the recent attacks against mosques and Muslim citizens:

Already we have seen extremists seeking to capitalise upon Wednesday's terrible act. There have been several attacks reported against mosques and Muslim citizens.

The hate-fuelled individuals behind such attacks wish to polarise and tear apart our great country for their own sick ends. They should be isolated and subject to the full force of the law.

A van driver today admitted running down and killing a mother-of-three in a hit-and-run frenzy in which more than a dozen other people were injured.

32-year-old Matthew Tvdron mowed down parents and children during a spree in which Karina Menzies was killed.

Tvdron pleased not guilty to her murder but admitted manslaughter with diminished responsibility. He appeared via videolink at Cardiff Crown Court from Ashworth high security psychiatric hospital in Maghull, Merseyside.

A Blackburn Rovers footballer will appear in court after allegedly making a homophobic gesture to the crowd while playing against one of his former clubs, in Brighton.

Colin Kazim-Richards has been summonsed to appear in court to answer a charge under Section 5 of the Public Order Act, Sussex Police said.

It is alleged that he made a homophobic gesture to the crowd during Blackburn's Championship match against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on February 12. London-born Kazim-Richards will appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on August 22.

Bill Oddie accused HSBC of funding the desecration of rainforests at the banking giant's annual general meeting.

HSBC's board members were confronted by the 71-year-old birdwatcher and broadcaster over its links to firms operating in Borneo.

Oddie, who used his position as a shareholder to raise the issue, said, "What's happening is that the logging companies have got the confidence and power and reputation because they have been funded by HSBC to expand and they are expanding across the world".

He added, "There's a huge desecration which at the root is funded by HSBC".

HSBC said it requires those banking with it to operate "legally and sustainably to protect the environment and local people" and has stopped providing services to 68 clients who failed to meet its standards.

Chief executive Stuart Gulliver urged Oddie to work with HSBC to tackle the issue, saying, "Give us the chance to be a force for good".

Van driver Matthew Tvrdon has admitted at Cardiff Crown Court to running down and killing mother-of-three Karina Menzies in a hit-and-run frenzy in the Welsh capital last October.

A dozen others were injured in the incident.

A Swansea couple have become the latest in a line of Lottery winners from the area after their EuroMillions ticket netted them £1m.

Alan Parfitt, 56, and Jan Parfitt, 53, say last Friday's win still hasn't properly sunk in.

District nurse Jan said she 'burst out laughing' after her husband, a joiner, called her over to the computer to confirm they had won.

“I just laughed, and laughed," she said.

“I know it sounds crazy, but it was such an unreal feeling knowing we had suddenly won so much money that I couldn’t help it. In fact, I’m only just starting to believe it.”

The couple, who have a grown-up son and a four-month-old grandson, say they 'haven't had a moment' to think about what they'll spend their money on.

But Jan said: “We will certainly look after our family, and know that we can have a comfortable life from now on."

Pakistan International Airlines spokesman Mashood Tajwar said the airline had been unable to contact the pilot of flight PK709, despite repeated attempts.

Mr Tajwar said the control tower at Manchester Airport had received a call about a threat on board the plane and the advised the pilot to divert to its sister airport of Stansted.
