Planned Parenthood gunman still on the loose

Police have said that a gunman at a Planned Parenthood Clinic is still being hunted by police, according to local news reporters on the scene.

Lieutenant Catherine Buckley said they were still trying to hunt down the unidentified gunman after a shooting that saw three officers injured.

"We can't confirm where the shooter is", said Lt Buckley in a mini-press conference at the scene of the incident in Colorado Springs, according to 660News reporter Ian Campbell.

A hospital spokeswoman also confirmed they are treating three patients from the shooting at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs.

Earlier, NBC News-affiliate KOAA5 News said at least two police officers had been injured.

A Planned Parenthood lobby group appears to have confirmed reports of an "active shooter" said to be at one of its clinics in Colorado Springs.

A Twitter feed for the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio re-tweeted a news report announcing a gunman at the clinic, while a second tweet added they were "thinking of our colleagues in Colorado".
