Raising criminal age

The mother of murdered toddler James Bulger has tonight demanded an apology from England's Children's Commissioner, and called for her to be sacked.

Maggie Atkinson provoked fury after saying the killers of her 2 year old son should never have been tried for murder.

Dr Atkinson wants the age of criminal responsibility raised from 10 to 12.

But the backed James' mother, and said it's not going to happen.
