Poll: Tories retain narrow lead over Labour

The race for Downing Street remains tight as the Conservatives' lead over Labour narrowed to just two points in the final poll by Lord Ashcroft.

The Conservatives fell four points to 32%, when compared to the same poll last week, while Labour remained unchanged on 30%.

Meanwhile the survey of 1,001 adults, polled between May 1 and May 3, found the Liberal Democrats are up two points on 11%, UKIP up one on 12%, the Greens are unchanged at 7% and the SNP up one on 5%.

Last week's Lord Ashcroft survey, put the Conservatives six points ahead of Labour on 36% compared to 30%.
