Portraits painted by the children will be used to create a montage portrait of the Queen that will be projected on to Buckingham palace as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Queen herself, with the Duke of Edinburgh, will be visiting Kensington Palace - where William and Kate will have their London home - to look at renovations and improvements carried out there.
